My Client is a well-known and highly reputable firm of chartered accountants based in Reigate, Surrey. We're assisting them in their search for a VAT Director to further strengthen their well-established and highly reputable indirect tax team in Surrey and the Southeast. This position will be advisory-focused, while overseeing the compliance function, working with a wide array of clients across the South-East. There are excellent career prospects on offer as you develop within the position including future will be responsible for:
1. Leading the VAT team on all areas of VAT advice
2. Technical research for a breadth of topics and keeping the wider tax team apprised of technical developments
3. Drafting reports and letters of advice for a wide range of clients and industries
4. Liaising with clients and attending meetings
5. Business development including marketing areas of opportunity
6. Managing and developing members of the VAT team.
Advisory Exposure:
7. Leading topical advisory matters to clients across the practice.
8. Advising businesses on VAT-efficient structuring of their affairs.
9. Advising on VAT considerations for international trade
10. Implementing partial exemption special schemes
11. Ad hoc advice on a wide range of VAT matters for the firm’s diverse client base.
