* Supportedby the clinical and management team the post holder will act as one of theregular GPs within the practice, working alongside the practice team.
* Providegeneral medical services for the practice population to a high standard dealingwith a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting. Comply with the practices General MedicalServices (GMS) contract, DES/LES contracts and adhere to the principles of goodmedical practice.
* Youwill be required to:
* Provideall GP services required
* Respondto medical problems presented by patients, including history taking,examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate
* Provideappropriate preventative health care and advice
* Adhereto the practice prescribing formulary, local and national guidelines
* Makeprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within theorganisation
* Recordclear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards
* Compileand issue computer generated acute, and repeat prescriptions
* Supportpractice staff, and respond to requests for advice and assistance from thereception, secretarial, prescription, PA and nursing staff
* Provideadditional enhanced services to the practice that meet the needs of the patientpopulation and maximise income streams to the practice
About us
We are a large busy surgery located in Redruth, Cornwall, and have a combined list of circa 17,000 patients, with 6 Partners. We are members of North Kerrier East PCN.
We hold a daily coffee session, with the opportunity for clinical staff to discuss any patient/clinical issues.
Job responsibilities
You will be required to:
Provide all GP services required
Respond to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate
Provide appropriate preventative health care and advice
Adhere to the practice prescribing formulary, local and national guidelines
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Record clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards
Compile and issue computer generated acute, and repeat prescriptions
Support practice staff, and respond to requests for advice and assistance from the reception, secretarial, prescription, PA and nursing staff
Attend MDT, clinical and practice meetings
Provide additional enhanced services to the practice that meet the needs of the patient population and maximise income streams to the practice
Awareness and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, and QOF
In general the post Holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full registration with the General Medical Council - GMC.
* Inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
* Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners - MRCGP - or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualifications in areas relevant to general practice such as family medicine - public health - or medical education.
Experience
* Proven experience working in a general practice setting.
* Competence in managing a wide range of medical conditions and providing high-quality patient care.
* Proficiency in using electronic health records and other digital tools to enhance patient care and communication.
* Special interest or expertise in specific areas of medicine such as dermatology - paediatrics - or mental health which can enhance the practice's service offerings.
* Experience in leadership or management roles within a healthcare setting.
* Involvement in practice development or quality improvement initiatives.
* Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students - junior doctors - or other healthcare professionals.
