Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials, components, and supplies necessary for manufacturing processes.
* Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices.
* Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
* Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
* Order Processing: Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality.
* Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
* Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
