Our client is a large UK law firm who were recently recognised at this year’s Women, Influence, Power and Law Awards for their D&I efforts, they are now looking for a creative & flexible Senior Early Careers Advisor to join their growing and busy team in their London offices on a permanent basis.
The Senior Early Careers Advisor will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of apprenticeships and graduate recruitment programmes, taking a 360 approach from attraction and selection through to induction, on-boarding and L&D initiatives across the life cycle of early careers within the firm.
Duties will include:
1. Taking ownership of the Solicitor Apprenticeship and Trainee recruitment and selection programmes by managing the online applicant tracking system, social media campaigns & organise, attend and facilitate the firm’s vacation scheme.
2. Ensuring the early careers website is kept up to date.
3. Serving as a first point of contact for current and future cohorts of apprentices and trainees.
4. Consistently reviewing best practice and conduct research to keep abreast of market trends and other relevant matters, such as SQE that have an impact on the early careers programme.
5. Assisting the Senior Recruitment Manager in the review and maintenance of budgets for early careers initiatives.
6. Assisting with projects or assignments as required and directed.
The Senior Early Careers Advisor will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within early careers, ideally within a law firm/professional services along with a passion for and demonstrable experience in creating/transforming/implementing early careers programmes. It is essential to possess a solid understanding of the impact and effects of the SQE on the legal industry, able to prioritise and manage initiatives independently and have excellent organisational and attention to detail skills. The right candidate will be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative, offer credible advice and have a professional ‘can do’ attitude.
