About the Role
The Head of Systems Engineering will lead a team in developing system and system of systems architecture, integrated logistics/product support, engineering management, and engineering governance. This role requires someone with a consultancy or Defence background, able to work autonomously or within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include setting the vision and strategy for the department, leading team meetings, allocating consultants to projects and accounts, identifying training needs, coaching employees on systems engineering tools and techniques, and supporting account leads in writing technical approaches and presenting to prospective customers.
Skills and Qualifications
This role requires experience in delivering requirements engineering, integrated logistical support, MBSE, and engineering governance in a consultancy context. Additionally, knowledge of the UK acquisition framework, experience with DOORS/Dimensions RM software, and understanding of complex system of system projects and programmes are essential. Leading multi-disciplined teams and managing stakeholders both internally and externally are also key skills required.
