Estates/Facilities Advisor (Life Sciences)
Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 (base salary)
Location: London, Oxford, or Cambridge
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office/client site)
Seniority: Associate to Technical Director
About the Role
Sentinel is partnering with an established construction consultancy operating in the Life Science space. We are looking for an experienced consultant with extensive advisory experience in the planning and management of Life Science estates.
The successful candidate will act as the key account holder for various clients, responsible for the performance of the service line and client satisfaction, with full P&L accountability.
Clients are a mix of UK and international life sciences and research institutions, with this role focusing on clients within the Golden Triangle (London, Oxford, Cambridge).
Responsibilities
* Key account manager, delivering the business case process from start to finish
* Building and maintaining client relationships, establishing a pipeline of future work
* Responsible for the performance of the service line and client satisfaction
* Work-winning attitude, meeting clients' needs
* Engage clients to understand their needs and communicate tailored advice
* Interact with a range of professionals (property, science, regulatory affairs)
* Seamlessly integrate into, and support ongoing development of, the client team
* Write proposals and responses to tenders
* Understand clients' requirements and develop/refine estate strategies and development control plans to effectively manage assets and optimise their portfolio
Skills/Experience
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Capable of making high-quality technical presentations and presenting at executive levels
* Experience leading teams, managing and mentoring junior members
* Delivering workshops and presentations, displaying status as a subject matter expert
* Experience with bid proposal and tender writing
* Relevant experience in risk and change management in estates' environments
* Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, or similar built discipline (Chartered status is preferred)
* Project management experience in the Life Sciences environment is advantageous
