The Head of Delivery role is a key senior-level position that oversees the Events & Guest Experience teams - focusing on performance and profitability for all the clients.
As Head of Delivery, you are an exceptional manager and inspiring leader who brings out the best in people and teams. You are phenomenal with figures, able to oversee multiple budgets and project teams simultaneously. You are a client servicing expert, skilled at building and maintaining long-term, profitable relationships that extend beyond project delivery. With proven large-scale, corporate and global event experience, you bring strategic oversight, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to grow with the business. You are now seeking to step away from hands-on event delivery and instead focus on scaling and strengthening the departments as part of the Senior Management Team.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Head of Delivery is a key member of the Senior Management Team and a central player in the success of brand brewery. This senior leadership role is focused on departmental growth, financial oversight, and people development rather than day-to-day project delivery.
You will drive best practice, strategic planning, and profitability across departments, while inspiring and developing leaders within the team. Through long-term client relationship management, you will ensure sustainable and profitable business growth.
The Responsibilities
* Overall management of the Events and Guest Experience Departments
* Inspire and line manage senior members of the Events, Production and Guest Experience Departments, ensuring their teams deliver to excellence
* Oversee departmental resourcing, P&L, profitability, and efficiency
* Manage all resourcing requirements for the Events Department, and work with the Head of Guest Experience on their resource management
* Lead departmental reporting – defining and monitoring KPIs around profitability, client satisfaction, and employee engagement, with quarterly updates to Directors
* Build and maintain long-term senior client relationships, ensuring profitability and strategic alignment
* Actively contribute to Senior Management Team decision-making and overall agency strategy
* Drive delivery innovation by embedding new technologies, digital tools and data-led insights across projects to enhance efficiency and client value
* Oversee risk management processes across all projects, ensuring compliance with health & safety, GDPR, sustainability reporting and other regulatory requirements
* Champion diversity, equity, inclusion and sustainability within delivery, embedding best practice into team culture and client solutions
* Shape and support new business development by contributing to commercial proposals, pricing models and client negotiations
* Develop and implement succession planning to secure long-term leadership strength within the delivery function
* Create, drive and maintain best practices for processes, systems and delivery across the department
* Mentor, motivate and grow future leaders within the agency
* Identify and support new business opportunities and contribute to pitches and awards
* Maintain a healthy, happy and productive working environment – monitoring performance and ensuring upward and downward feedback as needed
* Help teams develop a strategic and planned approach to projects/briefs that ensures delivery is on time, in budget and beyond the expected for clients
* Financial management – review, advise and approve all project budgets
* Ensure job list, invoice list, accounting system and server are all up to date and correct by the Departments
* Develop and nurture client relationships to maximise relationships and new business opportunities
* Oversee weekly meetings with Departments
* Manage recruitment or freelancer process with the People & Culture Manager
* Keep Directors informed/review with them projects, job statuses and company business. Identifying key points and issues that need to be brought to their attention
* Support and/or lead pitch presentations
* Drive and assist in award & PR entries, networking and developing existing client relationships
What You'll Bring
Experience
* Worked at a Senior level, reporting directly to the Senior Leadership team/ board or owners
* Agency background
* Managed budgets £2mil+
* International experience
* Proven experience managing multiple teams and Senior managers
* Experience in risk management for large-scale, global projects with knowledge of legal, compliance and insurance frameworks.
* Knowledge of emerging event technologies, digital platforms and data analytics for measuring impact and ROI
Skills
* Exceptional people manager and inspiring leader
* Phenomenal with figures, with strong commercial and financial acumen
* Client servicing expert with the ability to build long-term, profitable relationships beyond individual projects
* Skilled at setting and monitoring KPIs to ensure Department accountability and organisational success
* Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow with the business long-term
* Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Tools
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (mandatory).
* Knowledge of Monday.com preferred.
* Proficient knowledge of Macs and associated software.
