TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high profile railway client. They are expanding their fleet and are looking for multiple Rail Operative to join their team located in Cambridge CB1 3AE on an initial 6 month contract. This role is paying £21 per hour.

Main Duties:
* Responsible for the safe and efficient working of all train movement.
* Shunting within Cambridge Carriage Sidings and other locations under the instructions of the Carriage Siding Supervisor.
* Liaise with Train Crew, Signallers and other staff on matters relating to working within Cambridge Carriage Siding
* Using safe radio protocols where appropriate
* Carry out various other duties to maintain standard documentation, maintain security, and maintain good standard of cleanliness within the Carriage Sidings.
What We Require?
* You will have excellent verbal communication skills as you will be required to liaise with other team members on safety critical matters via radio.
* You will have a flexible approach to work as the role covers all shifts, a heavy commitment to night shifts and weekend/bank holiday working.
* Have a good standard of literacy, clear communication skills and be willing to undertake initial training as required.
* Happy to undertake assessment in the role.
* There is a requirement to wear protective clothing (issued by the client)

Shifts: Various Shifts- including Mornings, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends (Flexible across all)
Pay Rate: £21 per hour
Contract: 6 months (ongoing)
Location: Cambridge CB1 3AE
Start Date: October 2025
(Please note: this role requires completing and passing a medical and drug and alcohol test)
