Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive medical services across all stages of life, managing acute conditions, chronic illnesses, and complex care needs with a patient-centered approach.
* Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals to develop tailored treatment plans.
* Guide patients through recovery journeys to improve outcomes and quality of life.
* Collaborate with UBC’s Faculty of Medicine to integrate teaching and mentorship into clinical practice (optional).
* Participate in leadership development opportunities through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program.
* Support flexible work arrangements (full-time, part-time, or locum) to align with personal and professional goals.
* Engage in outreach to learn more about available opportunities and potential roles.
Compensation and Benefits
* Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract. Estimated remuneration for a full-time hospitalist is $336,168.00 annually, plus MOCAP level 2. Up to an additional 40% is available with group contract incentives.
* May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:
o Retention Premium 14%
o Retention Flat Fee $21,696
o Relocation Funding Available: up to $9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, $15,000 from outside Canada (relocation incentives subject to change).
o Recruitment Incentive $20,000, prorated for part-time physicians.
* Other Benefits/Incentives: With RCME, eligible to receive $1,320 for up to 2 years in Cranbrook, $3,520 in years 3 and 4, and $5,720 after year 4, in addition to Doctors of BC CME funds. Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
