FINTEC recruit is seeking a Graduate Asset Integrity Engineer for our engineering client based in Warrington. This is a permanent role, with a salary negotiable by experience up to circa GBP30,000 plus benefits. The role involves working within the asset integrity team of up to 10 engineers. There will be a requirement to undertake some travel within the UK and abroad for onshore and offshore projects. Onsite work is typically Monday to Friday, while offshore assignments involve home for 1-2 weeks, including weekends. A good understanding of vibration and dynamic behaviour of structures and machines is expected.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking structural vibration assessments
2. Asset integrity monitoring, including system design and configuration
3. Implementation and design of pipework vibration solutions and process pipework assessments
4. Liaising with customers on and off site to determine project requirements
5. Assisting with preparation of technical and commercial proposals
6. Preparing method statements, risk assessments, and job/project specifications
7. Using CAD, FEA, or other specialist software to investigate and find practical solutions
8. Specification, design, configuration, and implementation of structural monitoring systems
9. Onsite project management and instrumentation installation/data collection as required
10. Analysis, report writing, and making recommendations
Skills and Experience:
* A degree in a relevant engineering subject with broad mechanical engineering experience and practical skills
* Ability to pass offshore medical and survival courses
* A full driving license
* Knowledge of electrical engineering
* Ideally BSSM Level 1 or 2 certified
* Understanding of vibration and dynamic behaviour of structures and machines
* Knowledge of metal fatigue failure mechanisms, structural vibration, measurement, assessment, and problem solving
* Experience with instrumentation and data logging systems for measuring strain, vibration, etc.
* Knowledge of data analysis, signal processing, FEA (ANSYS), and Deflections Shape assessments
* Experience with process piping vibration assessment in accordance with Energy Institute guidelines
* Competence in installing and configuring strain gauges, HBM Glyphworks, MEScope
* Knowledge of Motion Amplification techniques and online monitoring systems
