Westinghouse - Springfields Fuels Ltd, the UK's leading nuclear fuels manufacturing site, is looking for Maintenance Electrical Craft Person(s) to support the successful delivery of essential business maintenance in line with company strategy.
As an Electrical Craft Person, you will deploy electrical craft skills in the delivery of scheduled compliance and routine maintenance, along with breakdown maintenance, in support of plant operations.
You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be located at the Springfields Fuels site. This role requires onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure safe working practices are adhered to and challenge any unsafe behaviors within the team.
* Participate actively in daily toolbox/safety talks.
* Use seconds out for safety and human performance tools for every job.
* Ensure all Permit to Work documents meet required standards before signing.
* Perform craft work following required standards.
* Report all accidents, near misses, and safety improvements promptly.
* Maintain tidiness of work area, workshops, and storage locations.
* Complete scheduled and breakdown work efficiently, reporting delays or inefficiencies.
* Highlight inaccuracies in maintenance instructions and risk assessments.
* Communicate plant and equipment status effectively at day's end.
* Report use of plant spares for reordering.
* Participate in work management systems and processes.
* Engage in Human Performance Event Investigations.
* Attend annual Safety Workshop and participate in safety improvement activities.
Qualifications:
* Engineering qualification(s) ONC/L3 Maintenance Craftsperson or equivalent experience.
* Recognized craft engineering apprenticeship for Electrical/E&I craft status.
* Knowledge of good maintenance systems and methods in core trade.
* Understanding of safe systems of work.
* Knowledge of electrical systems, hazards, and safety requirements.
* Practical problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
* Proficiency with maintenance-related computer software.
* Ability to identify issues and determine actions.
* Integrity in reporting human errors and escalating issues.
