Lecturer in Animal Management & Behaviour

Salary: Up to £32,199 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications) + benefits
Hours: Full-time (37 hrs per week, all year round)

The Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an Animal expert to transition into teaching, sharing knowledge and influencing future Animal Management professionals.
The successful candidate will deliver outstanding teaching and assessment across Levels 1-3 and HE Animal Care and Management. An enthusiastic and engaging approach is essential to motivate students and support their achievement.
You will oversee student success, develop an enriched curriculum, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion. Responsibilities also include recruitment, advising students on progression, and developing industry links for enrichment and work experience.
Skills and Qualifications
* Develop creative resources to inspire learning and monitor learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
* Be an effective, motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues and management.
* Hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, along with a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to achieve these.
* Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or be willing to attain it.
* Capable of bringing the subject to life through practical, theoretical, and digital methods to engage learners and equip them with essential skills and knowledge.
Department Info
You will work within the curriculum team, closely collaborating with Curriculum Team Leaders and reporting to the Curriculum Manager.
