We are recruiting System / Principal Engineers and Technical Directors for a growing Engineering Safety Consultancy with a focus on Maritime, Naval, Nuclear, and Submarine sectors.
System Engineers – Mid-Level to Senior
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for delivery across complex, hazardous projects in highly regulated fields such as nuclear, maritime, aviation, or ordnance. Capable of working with minimal supervision, leading small teams, and applying strategic thinking to technical challenges.
Responsibilities include:
* Empowering teams of engineers to deliver technical aspects of projects
* Collaborative working with minimal supervision
* Undertaking activities as directed by Technical Directors and Principal Engineers
* Conducting complex technical investigations
* Articulating project outcomes to stakeholders
* Providing technical guidance and maintaining quality assurance
Principal Engineer
Responsible for leadership and delivery across complex projects, managing talented teams, and providing strategic insights. Requires a proven track record and broad technical skills.
Responsibilities include:
* Directing, supervising, motivating staff
* Managing complex technical projects
* Providing guidance and development opportunities for engineers
* Influencing project outcomes and strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
* BEng degree with postgraduate knowledge
* Recognized Technical Expert
* Chartered Engineer with UK Engineering Council
* Member of a UK Professional Engineering Institution
Technical Director – Nuclear/Maritime/Aviation
Leads strategic and operational activities, with experience in managing teams and projects in regulated sectors. Focuses on strategic planning, leadership, and growth initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading staff and resource allocation
* Providing leadership for business continuity
* Managing and developing staff
* Influencing strategic policies
* Engaging with the Board of Directors
Qualifications:
* BEng degree with postgraduate knowledge
* Recognized as a Technical Expert
* Chartered Engineer with UK Engineering Council
* Member or Fellow of a UK Professional Engineering Institution
* 15+ years’ experience in regulated engineering disciplines
