Job Overview
The Property Maintenance Operative plays an essential role in ensuring the School’s buildings and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and fit for purpose. This hands-on position involves carrying out a variety of general repairs and maintenance tasks across the School’s estate, with a particular focus on supporting the smooth operation of the Boarding Houses. The role requires a practical, proactive approach and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, demonstrating sensitivity and discretion when working in residential areas. A commitment to high standards of workmanship and a collaborative team spirit are vital to maintaining the quality and integrity of the School’s infrastructure.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours of work are likely to be 08.00am – 4.30pm (less ½ hour unpaid break each day). To fulfil the demands of the post you may be required to be flexible in terms of working hours. There may be the occasional requirement to work outside your normal working hours, e.g. weekends, functions, Commemoration.
Salary: Circa £27,000.00 per annum.
