This international engineering and manufacturing group has a long and established history in the North West. With their main base of UK operations at their sizeable North Manchester facility they are able to project a global level of engineering expertise. Due to their continued expansion there is a serious need to recruit a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to the already successful team. The role will involve working with all of their UK and international customers, across the disciplines of commission, installation, maintenance and emergency repairs. They offer full and comprehensive training across of their engineering products. The core work is across mechanical kit and rotating equipment. Duties * Installation and maintenance mechanical kit and systems * Commissioning of new equipment * Supervision is external contractors on large scale projects * Create rapport and build relationships with their clients and customers * Prepare and issue technical reports and recommendations for further action * Direct liaison with Engineering and production regarding issues at customer premises * Work inhouse when required to support Maintenance, Assembly and Repairs * Work within all in house and client Health and Safety guidelines Qualifications * Time-served engineer or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * Experienced in a field service role working with capital kit or rotating equipment * Knowledge of mechanical assembly/engineering drawings * Working knowledge or previous experience of working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
