Electrical Design Manager - Ballymena - Permanent We are seeking an Electrical Design Manager to join a high-quality specialist contractor who specialize in a wide range of building and construction services, with expertise in Mechanical & Electrical (MEP) Building Services, Facilities Management and Energy Solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Electrical Design Manager will lead the electrical design process on a variety of complex MEP projects. You will be responsible for managing external consultants, clients, and contractors to ensure all designs are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the relevant standards and specifications. About the role:

Key Responsibilities:
6. Manage and coordinate MEP design development with external consultants, clients, and contractors
7. Conduct technical verifications of consultant outputs including IES, Revit, Amtec, and Hevacomp data
8. Ensure all designs comply with the BG2, BG3, BG4, and BG6 suite of documents
9. Develop concept designs and manage key deliverables throughout project lifecycle
10. Attend client and design team meetings, offering technical support from concept to completion
11. Prepare technical documentation including Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
12. Develop new and existing business opportunities within the design space
13. Define and agree scope of works for sub-consultants, including DRM and BG6 responsibilities
Criteria:
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
15. Experience using Revit preferred, though not essential
16. Strong understanding of electrical design principles
17. Highly motivated with excellent communication and team leadership skills
18. Strong planning, organisational, and time management abilities
19. Capable of assisting internal departments in design during tender and procurement stages
20. Understanding of RBIA/BSRIA Stages of work from concept through to project completion
21. Ability to read and technically evaluate drawings and specifications
22. Commercial and programme awareness
23. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a flexible, hands-on approach
