We are actively seeking Senior Consultants to join our high-performing team. You will work as part of a team of LRG specialists, supporting clients to solve their most difficult problems. The work is complex, demanding, and challenging, but also incredibly interesting and fulfilling.

Connect to your skills and professional experience
As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for owning day-to-day client relationships, and will manage workstreams within a broader project or programme to produce high-quality outcomes. You may have management responsibilities for junior team members and will be required to provide direction, support, and coaching.
Core consulting skills: You will need to demonstrate core consulting skills such as, narrative building, presentation skills, and relationship building, to quickly build client rapport and foster a shared understanding.
Delivery: You will shape project structure, own a workstream and set of deliverables, and contribute to internal and client discussions; clearly putting across your point of view, using critical thinking to account for project and industry context. You will be responsible for leading workshops, preparing material, and conducting interviews.
Teaming: You will embody Deloitte’s values and actively promote a culture of respect and inclusion, support and developing junior team members, and actively manage your work and development against your goals.
Building the team: You will actively lead and contribute to the development of the Local and Regional Government and Public Sector Operations teams, including business development, team events, training, and recruitment.
Technical skills and experience
To be able achieve the above skills at the standard expected in Deloitte and by our clients we will look for the following experience.
* An awareness of the significant issues faced in the LRG sector and an interest in innovative solutions and strategies to transform it.
* Experience in Target Operating Models, continuous improvement, process transformation, cost optimisation or service design, ideally within a client environment or consulting firm, with clear workstream and/or deliverable accountability.
* Experience of influencing in high-profile, complex situations where stakeholders do not always agree about methods, decisions, and strategic direction.
* Ability to articulate complex ideas to all levels of an organisation, and effectively lead and manage all key stakeholders and team members, resolving issues, competing demands and conflicts.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments.
* Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and to think creatively to solve client issues.
* A logical and methodical approach to analysis and problem solving, with an ability to think laterally and build and challenge business cases.
* Excellent ability in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel
* Knowledge of business design and business architecture practices or cost transformation
* Knowledge of digital transformation and/or Local Government Reform.
* Experience and ability to operate and understand Project and Programme management disciplines, including production of project plans, key quality programme deliverables, and working and delivering to strict time constraints.

Enterprise, Technology and Performance
Our clients want to achieve maximum value from digital transformation investments in Finance, Supply Chain and IT operations. That’s where we come in. By taking a holistic view of performance improvement, including strategy, process design and technology enablement, we support the smooth operation of transformations.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
