The company:
Our client are a leading global supplier of trend-led homeware products, specialising in items such as candles, textiles, bedding, decorative accessories etc. With a reputation for creativity, quality, and speed to market, they work with some of the UK's biggest high-street names – including Primark and other major retailers.
As the company continues to grow, they we now looking for to recruit an experienced Homeware creative Packaging Designer to join their talented in-house design team at their Manchester head office.
The Role:
As a Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative, trend-aware, and commercially viable packaging solutions for our wide range of homeware products. You'll collaborate closely with product designers, account managers, and production teams to develop packaging that enhances brand value and stands out on the high street.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop packaging concepts for homeware products such as candles, home fragrance, gift sets, bedding, textiles and more.
Create artwork, and mockups that are print-ready and factory compliant.
Present products to high street retailers such as Primark to meet brand guidelines and packaging requirements.
Work closely with the product and sales teams to ensure packaging aligns with product positioning and consumer trends.
Research packaging trends, materials, and sustainable alternatives to enhance product appeal and reduce environmental impact.
Adapt designs based on client feedback, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to final delivery.
Work with overseas suppliers and factories in China
Visit and travel high street retail head offices
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in packaging design, ideally within homeware, giftware, or FMCG sectors.
Strong understanding of print processes, packaging materials, and sustainability considerations.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Experience working with high street retailers and adapting to different brand guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A strong portfolio showcasing relevant packaging design work.
Experience working with suppliers in China and the Far east
