Senior Marketing Executive – Outdoor Activities at GO Outdoors. Location: JD Group HQ (Bury, Greater Manchester). Department: Marketing. Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Responsibilities
* Be the key marketing contact for the activities commercial team, understanding their proposition, priorities, and objectives.
* Deliver an omni-channel marketing calendar for the activities category, focusing on business/product priorities, key/new brands, customer moments and calendar dates. Plan with ambassadors to amplify the message.
* Support planning and execution of outdoor activation events, product launches, and experiential marketing initiatives.
* Build partnerships and relationships with outdoor brands, sponsors and communities to co-create campaigns and increase brand visibility.
* Collaborate with the in-house production team to create content supporting the marketing plans for activities.
* Develop compelling content highlighting outdoor experiences, products, and customer journeys, aligned with JD Outdoors brand voice across channels (facia, digital, and retail).
* Create headlines and body copy for creative executions (brand pages, emails, mailers, PR opportunities, in-store POS).
* Communicate campaigns to relevant channel owners and agencies to ensure they have what they need to execute.
* Manage activities-focused events and monitor marketing performance, reporting insights to maximise ROI.
* Conduct market and customer analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and pain points for campaign strategies.
* Work to the critical path for all activity within remit and manage key relationships with Marketing, Merchandisers, Online team, External Partners, Agencies, and Retail Ops/store teams.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven marketing experience in a retail environment, ideally within outdoor, sports, or lifestyle industries.
* Strong campaign management and project coordination skills.
* Creative mindset with ability to generate engaging marketing ideas.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects and timescales.
* Attention to detail and customer focus; commercially aware.
* Leadership qualities with ability to lead on projects, meetings, and people.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
* Ability to engage multiple teams to deliver a common goal; strong coordination and event management experience.
* Passion for outdoor activities and understanding of outdoor consumer culture.
