Job Title: Lead Functional Skills Tutor x2 roles available Lead Functional Skills Tutor - English Lead Functional Skills Tutor - MathsLocation: Stoke on Trent - Centre based Salary: up to £37,000 (Depending on skills and experience) Type: Full-time, Permanent Essential Criteria: Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above/equivalent. Hold a Level 3 in English and/or Maths, or equivalent. Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress. Experience of delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths up to Level 2. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.Duties: Demonstrate best teaching practice to your team by delivering English and /or Maths sessions to small groups of learners, focus on showcasing planning, engagement, differentiation, assessment, and reflection. Develop and coach a team of Functional Skills Tutors, conducting regular 1:1s and observations to ensure continuous improvement within their delivery. To identify any additional training or support needs within your team, to ensure that a high-quality learning experience is provided for all learners. Work in partnership with the management team, to develop curriculum and ensure content exceeds the expectations of partners and learners in line with company ethos. Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety. The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs. Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
