Job Summary
At Tata Technologies we are recruiting for a Connected Car Launch Engineer to be based at our office customers site in Warwick. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end readiness, validation, and successful market launch of connected vehicle features and services, acting as the technical bridge between engineering, testing, suppliers, cloud backends and vehicle programs.
Responsibilities
* Own the launch readiness of connected car features such as telematics & TCU services, OTA (FOTA/SOTA), Feature‑On‑Demand and remote commands.
* Define launch criteria, go/no‑go gates and acceptance metrics; support pilot, SOP, regional rollouts and feature expansions.
* Coordinate end‑to‑end integration between vehicle ECUs, backend/cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); verify data flows, latency, reliability and fail‑over behavior; resolve integration issues.
* Support and track vehicle‑level testing (HIL, SIL, CAN, network validation), UAT, field trials, dog‑fooding and pre‑SOP fleet testing; perform network mode testing for ignition cycles, sleep/wake, roaming and weak signal conditions.
* Ensure validation across vehicle modes, market variants and regulatory regions; review and sign off launch validation reports.
* Act as launch triage focal point during SOP and early‑life support; analyze defects, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
* Coordinate with OEM engineering, vehicle integration, manufacturing and Tier‑1 suppliers; track deliverables against launch milestones.
* Ensure compliance with UN R155 (CSMS), R156 (SUMS/OTA), data‑privacy and cybersecurity requirements; validate regional enablement (EU, NA, APAC, MEA).
* Create and maintain launch readiness checklists, feature enablement matrices and present launch status, risks and mitigations to management and customers.
* Support post‑launch and continuous improvement; monitor real‑world telemetry, incidents, customer issues and feed learnings into next vehicle programs and process improvements.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in automotive software, connected car or EE&I domains.
* Experience in vehicle SOP or feature launches.
* Hands‑on exposure to vehicle testing, field trials and early‑life production support.
* Knowledge of telematics and OTA platforms (FOTA/SOTA), vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet, LIN) and cloud‑based automotive services.
* Experience with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, ControlDesk, Jira, Confluence, log analysis and monitoring tools.
* Familiarity with AAOS or infotainment ecosystems is a plus.
