Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant – Bishop Auckland
We are looking for an experienced Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join a busy accountancy practice in Bishop Auckland. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with practice experience who are confident managing client portfolios and delivering a full range of accounting and tax services.
The Role:
1. Managing your own portfolio of clients independently
2. Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
3. Preparing and submitting personal and company tax returns, and VAT returns
4. Producing management accounts on a regular basis
5. Liaising with HMRC on tax enquiries and compliance matters
6. Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
Requirements:
7. ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant, or part-qualified
8. Previous experience within an accountancy practice
9. Strong technical knowledge of accounts, tax, and VAT
10. Excellent communication and organisational skills
11. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
