Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maternity Cover Nursery Manager to join our team with potential of becoming permanent within the nursery group. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills and a passion for early childhood education.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Drive the overall success of the nursery by implementing effective strategies and policies
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
* Lead and manage the nursery team, providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and external stakeholders
* Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
* Maintain a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and staff well-being.
* Plan and deliver a curriculum that promotes child development in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines
* Manage nursery budgets, resources, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A full and relevant level 3 qualification or above as defined by the Department of Education on the Early Years Qualifications List
* DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
* Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
* Safeguarding training and qualification
* Proven experience working in a leadership position at a childcare setting
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Passion for working with children and providing high-quality care
* Knowledge of EYFS framework and current childcare practices
