Micheldever Tyres Services are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Operational Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operations management within the Warehouse & Transport functions at your Site, through a team of Shift Managers. You will be accountable for implementing the Companies’ Standard Operational Policies, Procedures and Practices including Health and Safety, taking a proactive approach to drive the Site forward with new initiatives, whilst creating a positive working environment and culture for team members.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Package: £36,000 - £39,000 + Benefits

About the role:
1. Creating daily, weekly and monthly plans
2. Drive efficiencies, whilst improving service levels
3. Regularly monitor operation budgets and delivery of routine KPI targets
4. Monitoring and control of stock and its accuracy
5. Maintain accurate records to support internal and external audits
6. Ensure a proactive approach to excellent Customer Service is delivered
7. Motivate and encourage team members creating a positive working environment
8. Strive to provide a culture where people feel trusted, valued, safe and challenged
9. Hold team briefings keeping everyone informed on important information and changes
10. Chair and support in employee relations meetings as required, including Return to Work Interviews, Investigations, Attendance Review Meetings, Disciplinaries and Grievances
11. Review employee performance and wellbeing through check-in meetings and appraisals
12. Identify training needs/knowledge gaps to ensure there is a clear path for development
About you:
1. Previous experience in a logistical management role
2. Experience of managing and developing a team with demonstrable leadership skills
3. Previous experience of cost and budget management along with Health & Safety management in a similar environment
4. Change Management is also required
5. IOSH qualification is an advantage but not essential; however, a good working knowledge of Health and Safety in Warehouses is essential
