Senior Pay and Conditions Officer – Workforce Team
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £350 per day Umbrella Inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 months initially
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Pay and Conditions Officer to join a busy Workforce team in the Midlands. This role is essential in delivering a high-quality pay, conditions, and pensions service, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee data across HR/payroll systems and third-party platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional HR, payroll, and pensions advice to managers and employees
• Ensure accurate processing of contractual, statutory, and pension changes
• Supervise Pay & Conditions Officers and ensure timely documentation
• Reconcile payrolls, manage BACS payments, and liaise with third-party providers
• Calculate pension estimates, redundancy payments, and overpayments
• Support TUPE transfers, academy conversions, and policy updates
• Maintain and develop HR/payroll systems and contribute to policy development
• Provide guidance on sensitive pension and death-in-service issues
Requirements:
• Strong technical experience in HR/payroll/pension administration
• In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and pension schemes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage complex data and meet tight deadlines
• Proven ability to lead, train, and support team members
• Flexible, detail-oriented, and proactive in improving processes
