Job Responsibilities
1. Reviewing access to classified information through appraisal of software and hardware, employee account allocation, peripheral access management, movement of information across boundaries, and data handling methods of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and company.
2. Providing security advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders within the business group, and making recommendations to improve security solutions for various work streams.
3. Reporting measures and statistics to senior management to ensure effective implementation of access and boundary controls.
4. Building effective relationships and coordinating with key local functions and business representatives.
5. Influencing security culture by raising awareness among employees and management, and modelling behaviours aligned with BAE Systems values.
6. Collaborating with internal staff to ensure the delivery of security elements within security plans, including testing where necessary.
7. Supporting and contributing to team objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant degree in Computing, Information Systems, STEM, or security-related subjects, or equivalent industry experience.
* Proven experience in information security and/or cybersecurity.
* Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical issues.
* Previous experience working in IT or related fields.
* Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Excel and formulas.
* Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement in systems, processes, and personal development.
