A leading Big 4 accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join its Corporate Tax team.This role sits within a high-performing advisory practice supporting UK and multinational clients across a broad range of industries. The team provides strategic tax advice on complex business issues including structuring, international expansion, and transactions, while also supporting clients through an evolving global tax landscape.This is a senior leadership position combining client advisory, team leadership and business development, with clear progression towards Partner.The RoleAs a Director, you will take ownership of key client relationships while leading the delivery of complex tax advisory projects.Key responsibilities include:Managing a portfolio of large corporate and multinational clients, acting as a trusted adviser on complex tax mattersProviding strategic advice on areas such as tax structuring, business reorganisations, refinancing and international expansionLeading multi-disciplinary and cross-border projects, coordinating input from specialists across tax and advisory teamsDriving business development initiatives, including identifying opportunities, leading proposals and supporting pitchesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including CFOs and Heads of TaxOverseeing project delivery, ensuring high technical quality, risk management and commercial outcomesLeading, mentoring and developing Senior Managers and Managers within the teamContributing to the strategic growth of the practice, including shaping service offerings and go-to-market initiativesAbout YouStrong experience in corporate or international tax advisoryProven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver large engagementsExperience leading teams and developing senior staffStrong commercial awareness and a track record of winning and developing businessExcellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical issues clearlyExperience working with multinational clients and cross-border tax issuesThe OpportunityThis is an opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a growing tax practice, working with high-profile clients on complex advisory work while playing a key role in team development and business growth.The role offers strong exposure to strategic client work, leadership responsibility and a clear pathway to Partner.
