We support flexible working requests and have adopted a hybrid approach for most of our office-based roles. We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.

JOB TITLE: ROTATING MACHINERY TECHNICIAN

The post is based on the Kittiwake on a 3/4/3/5 rota.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Implementing day to day running checks, planned and corrective maintenance on the Tornado Gas Turbine Generators. Assisting where required on the platform Gas Compressors. All work is to be delivered in a safe and competent manner, to safeguard the availability and operating condition so that production availability targets can be achieved.

2. Maintain the Tornado Gas Turbine Generators systems to provide reliable power for all required life support, safety systems and utility systems.

3. Safeguard the availability and operational condition of associated equipment to ensure reliable power & air compression facilities for the platform.

4. Delivery of workshop in 28-Day / 7-day planning & maintenance activities within the discipline and as required by the Lead Techs / Maint Supv.

5. Collect data and information required for condition monitoring and preventative maintenance.

6. Work under the guidance of the Lead Techs to ensure all PM’s are completed in a timely manner when plant equipment is offline allowing one outage for activities in the period.

7. Input of high quality updates into Maintenance Management System, ensure timely sign off of completed workscopes to deliver on plan KPI’s.

8. Ensure all documentation, daily logs and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.

9. With the PMC order and monitor material delivery for department.

10. In conjunction with other maintenance personnel review any proposed modifications / work packs prior to implementation and feedback as appropriate.

11. Actively support and liaise with all residential / non-residential contractors / vendors acting as central point of contact, ensuring work carried out by 3rd party personnel conforms to statutory regulations and company standards.

12. Completion of Competence Management System for role in timely manner

13. Safety Management:

14. Understand and comply with the installations safety case, statutory requirements, and safe systems of work.

15. Assist contractors and vendors to comply with Petrofac / Kittiwake’s safe systems of work and current legislation.

16. Emergency Response:

17. Perform in an emergency role as defined by the Company Emergency Response Procedure Manual and Station Bill.

18. The above is an outline of key duties and accountabilities, rather than an exclusive or exhaustive list of responsibilities. The post holder is expected to undertake any tasks which may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.

19. The postholder is expected to adhere to all Legislative requirements the Petrofac 9 Lifesaving Rules and the Petrofac Values.

20. Ability to work in a team, resolving day-to-day operational issues as they occur.

21. Ability to manage multiple workscopes, prioritising in liaison with Lead Tech as required for the best outcome for the asset.

22. Ability to recognise SIMOPS issues and resolve clashes should they manifest at site.

23. Ability to carry out complex fault-finding on-site equipment, liaising with vendors both remotely and locally to resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

24. Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or Training Scheme

25. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of operating and maintaining rotating equipment to include ABB, GE Gas Turbines and Gas Compressors, together with knowledge of power and process equipment in maintenance support activities.

26. Mechanical and Instrumentation & Controls experience in the field of rotating equipment including calibrations, maintenance, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting of turbine control systems.

27. OND / ONC / City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 – Mechanical / Rotating equipment.

28. ISSOW (Proscient Or similar system) training to level 2.

29. TMJI 10 & 19 certification to stage 3/4.

30. SBT assembly and re-instatement to stage 3/4

31. Systems literate - experience of computerised management systems e.g., Maximo, Spreadsheets, etc.

32. Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information / knowledge with other personnel
