Draughtsperson - Join a Leading Building Envelope Specialist. Based in Darlington | Office-Based with Flexible Working Options. Full-Time | Permanent. Were working with a well-established contractor specialising in roofing and cladding systems, with over 40 years of experience in delivering high-profile commercial projects. Theyre now looking for a Draughtsperson to join their design team in Darlington. This is a great opportunity to get involved in technically varied work and contribute to some of the UKs most recognised commercial developments.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £35,000 - £43,000 (depending on experience)
* Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays
* Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm; Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm

Duties
* Working closely with the design and project teams, youll be producing technical drawings and detailing solutions for roofing and cladding systems across a range of commercial builds.
* Creating detailed general arrangement and fabrication drawings
* Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specs, and tender documents
* Coordinating with internal teams and external consultants
* Attending project handovers and design meetings
* Updating drawings to reflect design changes or site variations
* Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers on specialist elements
* Supporting junior team members as needed
* Assisting with as-built documentation at project close-out
Requirements
* A qualification such as an HNC (or equivalent) in design, construction, or a related field
* Experience in a draughting or design role within the construction industry
* Strong skills in AutoCAD (any 3D CAD knowledge is a bonus)
* Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ideally, some knowledge of roofing or cladding systems - such as rainscreen cladding, composite panels, flat or metal roofing
