Secondary SEMH English Teacher – Full-Time
Location: Salisbury
Start Date: 3rd November 2025
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
A specialist secondary setting in Salisbury is seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This full-time role begins on 3rd November 2025 and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who require a tailored and supportive approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging English lessons adapted to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH.
2. Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
3. Use trauma-informed and positive behaviour strategies to support student engagement.
4. Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to promote academic and emotional progress.
Requirements:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
6. Experience teaching English at secondary level
7. Experience working with SEMH pupils or in specialist settings
8. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
9. Available to start on 3rd November and work full-time
