Responsibilities
* Safely setting and operating manual lathes to manufacture components
* Performing manual turning on a lathe to produce precision parts
* Working from drawings, SOPs and process control documents
* Performing in-process checks and self-inspection
* Raising tooling, material or process issues to the team lead
* Supporting product and procedure development through CI programmes
Qualifications
* Experience of setting manual lathe machines (essential)
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
* Ability to read manufacturing drawings (essential)
* Basic computer literacy for data entry
* NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations or equivalent (desirable)
* Experience working to tight tolerances (desirable)
