Job Title: Quality Lead Location: Lowestoft Hours: Full Time - 37 hpw - 1.0FTE Contract: Permanent Salary: Lecturer Scale - £35112.48 to £41600.00 FTE (dep. on qualifications and experience) Are you passionate about the quality of education and delivery? Our incredibly committed Teaching and Learning team here at East Coast College, are looking for a passionate and visionary Quality Lead to champion outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment across all subject areas and departments. Overseeing and coordinating the effectiveness and compliance of our quality framework, you will ensure that Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) across the college is robust and consistently applied. Working collaboratively with IQAs and Heads of Department, you will monitor the quality of standardisation, sampling, and observations, providing the high-level oversight necessary to meet all awarding body requirements. While supporting the wider team, you will act as a key point of contact for External Quality Assurance (EQA) as required, ensuring that assessment practices remain transparent and audit-ready. Your ability to engage, support, and guide staff will be put to excellent use as you help maintain and improve standards across our FE provision. CVs are not used in the shortlisting process. East Coast College require all staff to hold a minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, and be able to evidence this. Please note, candidates who secure a teaching position, but do not currently hold a teacher qualification are required to obtain this within their first three years of employment. This can be provided by the college, however, the employee will be required to sign a commitment form, where they will be eligible to pay fees back should they fail to complete the qualification, or exit the organisation within the committed timeframe. Employees can secure their own funding such as Student Finance for the qualifications should they wish. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list.
