Care Assistant to support a teenager aged 17 years who lives in the Stanley area
This young man enjoys socialising and would like support to access the community. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. He would like to get out and about and engage in activities away from the family home to promote his independence. He has a great sense of humour and enjoys a good joke.
This role is for 4 hours per week (Saturday or Sunday), during term time and 8 hours per week during school holidays, with more flexibility on days during school holidays.
£13 per hour
Duties will include
* Assisting this young man to access public transport
* Supporting with activities/visits of his choice
* Personal care needs
Additional requirements/information
* Experience in supporting with personal care needs desirable
* Moving and handling experience desirable
* Willingness to build up a relationship with this young man and promote independence
* An Advanced DBS will be required
