Pro rata of £27,785 to £30,364 per annum (i.e. £22,228 - £24,291.20). 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Role
Are you an experienced and passionate Adult Care professional looking to share your skills with the next generation? Brighton MET College is recruiting for a Skills Coach in Adult Health Care to join our team and help shape our students\' future careers by supporting their development of vocational competence and the wider skills that relate to employability.
Our Skills Coach will have a caseload of adult carers who are working towards their Level 2-3 qualifications in the workplace. You will be supported by the Lead Internal Verifier for the Area. This role is predominantly based in the workplace, observing the students\' practice and guiding them through assessment. You will be working as part of an established team who support each other in sharing resources.
Our Skills Coach must be qualified in Adult Care up to Level 3 or 5 and should hold an assessing qualification or be willing to gain one.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of adult carers working toward Level 2-3 qualifications in the workplace.
* Observe practice in the workplace and guide students through assessment.
* Collaborate with the Lead Internal Verifier and the team, sharing resources and supporting each other.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of qualification requirements and ensure learner progression.
