As a Developer Advocate, you will create high-quality written content that resonates with developers, highlighting our API offerings, partnerships, and more. Your expertise will help drive brand recognition, facilitate platform adoption, and foster a community that thrives on real‑time, customer‑centric communications. A key focus will be showcasing the capabilities and applications of Vonage's APIs, demonstrating how they empower developers to build robust and scalable communication solutions.
Responsibilities
* Produce and publish weekly, high‑quality developer content for the Vonage Developer Blog and other relevant channels.
* Craft tutorials, how‑to guides, and deep dives that demonstrate the capabilities and use cases of Vonage APIs.
* Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
* Engage with the developer community through comments, social channels, and feedback.
* Help shape the editorial direction of the blog to address developer needs and highlight new product features.
Qualifications
* Technical writing experience: 2+ years writing developer‑focused content (blog posts with code, tutorials, documentation, etc.).
* Programming proficiency: Experience with at least one modern programming language (JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#).
* API experience: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and cloud communications platforms.
* Excellent communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.
* Community‑oriented: Experience engaging with developer communities via blogs, forums, or social media.
* Editorial skills: Ability to edit, proofread, and maintain a consistent voice and style.
