Cover Supervisor (CS) – Hook, Hampshire Are you confident, adaptable, and ready to inspire the next generation? GSL Education are currently recruiting a Full-Time Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in Hook, starting from September 2025. This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a school environment, including recent graduates or aspiring teachers. You'll be working full-time, based at one school, with a structured timetable covering a variety of year groups and subjects. Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared work to ensure lesson continuity. Promote positive classroom behaviour and manage any challenges in line with the school’s behaviour policy. Support students during lessons, keeping them engaged and on task. Build rapport with pupils across all key stages and adapt to different subjects. Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and any issues during cover lessons. Follow the weekly timetable provided and work collaboratively with school staff. Requirements: Previous experience working with young people is desirable. Strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management skills. Confident, proactive, and able to build relationships quickly. A flexible approach and willingness to cover across a range of subjects and year groups. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
