Are you an experienced commercial heating professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering high-quality services? We are looking for a Commercial Heating Supervisor to join our Building Services team at City of York Council.
In this key role, you will assist the Heating Team Leader to lead a team of heating operatives, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective gas servicing, repairs, and installations across council-owned properties. You will be responsible for managing compliance with Gas Safe regulations, overseeing external contractors, and ensuring all properties maintain valid Landlord Gas Safety Records. With a strong emphasis on the Commercial sector but with some cross over to Domestic.
You'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and comfort of our residents, managing communal heating systems, and supporting water hygiene services. Your leadership will help drive performance, ensure health and safety standards, and contribute to our asset management strategy.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly.
