HR Business Partner

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Location: Manchester/Bury - M26 2WX
Site-based: 5 days a week (Occasional work from home)

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your duties, you will support a team of approximately 500 colleagues:
* Support employee satisfaction, performance, retention, and effective communication at sites.
* Support the ER agenda and manage relationships and processes with unions at sites.
* Implement Business HR Priorities, such as labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, and standardisation of T&Cs.
* Provide HR support for start-ups, business wins, losses, and transfers.
* Ensure robust employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance).
* Assist managers in workforce planning, organisation design, resourcing, and future talent needs.
* Advise managers to ensure compliance with HR policies.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience, but don't hesitate to apply if you don't meet every criterion—we value talent and potential:
* Previous HR experience within a logistics business
* Strong ER case management skills
* Union experience is advantageous
* A CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent
* Ability to support project management
* Experience with business change initiatives such as TUPE, redundancies, restructures, and employee engagement
