Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that high-quality products are produced while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for food production, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position does require a drivers licence and the ability to work Saturdays.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and production of various baked goods, pastries, fillings, and cooked meats.
* Follow recipes and adhere to HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
* Operate and maintain bakery equipment, demonstrating basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting as needed.
* Measure ingredients accurately using basic math skills to ensure consistency in product quality.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining a positive work environment.
* Must be able to drive

Experience
* Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred.
* Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
* Basic mechanical knowledge related to bakery equipment operation is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
