We have vacancies for two Teaching Assistants to join us as soon as possible, who will work closely with teachers to provide in-class support for individual students and also work with small groups. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for experience in an education setting, or for those already in the sector and wishing to join our superb SEND department and a cohesive and highly supportive staff team.
Soar Valley College is committed to excellence for all, and we believe we have a very special ethos. The report from our recent Ofsted inspection in March 2025, which judged the school to Outstanding in all areas, states: “There is a strong sense of community at the school, where pupils and staff genuinely care for one another” and “Relationships are particularly strong.” Another comment from the inspection states: “The school is unfailingly ambitious for the achievement of pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).”
Being a Teaching Assistant is incredibly rewarding. It can also be an excellent stepping stone to a career in teaching, and several of our team have gone on to successfully complete on-the-job teacher training with us, which may be of interest to some applicants.
