About the Opportunity
We're on the lookout for someone who's as excited as we are about the power of STEM to change lives. In this role, you'll help us inspire the next generation, empower enthusiastic volunteers, and grow our mission to make STEM visible, accessible, and fun.
About the Role
As Midlands Engagement Lead, you'll be at the heart of bringing our mission to life across the region. You'll take the lead on coordinating and delivering STEMAZING initiatives in and around Birmingham – inspiring young people, empowering our volunteers, and building strong local partnerships.
Your role will include:
* Engaging directly with Primary Schools (ages 7–11) to spark curiosity and confidence in STEM.
* Coordinating, organising, and delivering exciting live STEM workshops alongside a brilliant mix of STEMAZING staff and STEMAZING Women volunteers.
* Collecting and reporting on impact through pre- and post-engagement surveys, helping us show the difference we make.
* Supporting and managing volunteers so they feel empowered, confident, and part of a collaborative community.
* Growing STEMAZING's impact in the Midlands by connecting with new partners across STEM organisations, businesses, and institutions – from raising our profile locally to helping shape compelling grant applications.
This role is flexible and remote, with weekly online team meetings and coordinated travel as needed. You'll be part of the delivery team, visiting schools across the Midlands to run in-person sessions during the school day. Some travel, occasional overnight stays, and early starts/finishes may be required – but always planned to work around schools and team schedules.
