Our client is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Chef to join a welcoming early years setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves creating nutritious, tasty meals and enjoys contributing to children’s health and development.
As the sole chef, you’ll be confident running the kitchen independently, taking full responsibility for planning, preparing, and delivering meals that meet a variety of dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Chef, nursery experience is essential.
* Confidence to run a kitchen independently as the sole chef.
* Strong knowledge of nutrition, allergies, and special diets.
* Understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen best practices.
* A passion for creating meals that children will enjoy, while supporting their growth and development.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children each day.
* Adapt menus to suit children with allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised kitchen in line with food hygiene regulations.
* Order, manage, and store stock effectively.
* Work closely with nursery staff to ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and well‑supported.
* Promote a positive food culture that encourages healthy eating habits in young children.
