What You'll Be Doing:
As a Project Engineer Electrical, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Resolving Queries: Quickly address T45 and production queries, ensuring safety and design intent are met.
* Project Review: Collaborate with ships staff, COM, and Ops to ensure engineering content and safety standards are integrated into project plans.
* Technical Support: Respond to electrical and technical queries, making informed engineering decisions within your authority.
* Identifying Development Needs: Spot training needs and skills gaps within your discipline.
* Safety Compliance: Support the application of MOD safety and environmental systems, along with BAE Systems Engineering Governance.
* Team Assistance: Help production and delivery teams meet technical requirements and standards.
* Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering processes in response to changes.
* Knowledge Sharing: Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and provide expertise to your colleagues.
Your Skills and Experiences:
We’re looking for candidates who bring the following:
* Maritime Knowledge: Understanding of a maritime environment, though experience from other industries is welcome.
* Electrical Systems Expertise: Familiarity with electrical systems and technical drawings.
* Hands-On Experience: Some background in repair, maintenance, and integration of ship systems and equipment.
* Technical Support Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support to operational units.
* Research Skills: Capability to research technical information to support decision-making based on relevant standards.
