About the Role: Deliver engaging and varied Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a broad range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital media. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage experimentation with different media, the development of technical skills, and critical analysis of artistic works from diverse cultures and historical periods. Assess student progress through project work, sketchbooks, presentations, and written analysis, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their artistic and intellectual development. Contribute to school art exhibitions, potentially leading extracurricular art clubs or workshops, and fostering links with the local arts community. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art and Design or a related field. A strong knowledge of art history, theory, and a wide range of artistic techniques and processes. Excellent communication, organizational, and practical skills, with proficiency in relevant art software and technologies. A passion for inspiring students through art, fostering their individual creative expression, and developing their critical thinking skills in relation to visual culture.
