Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging and creative music lessons according to the national curriculum Inspire and encourage students to develop their musical abilities and talents Plan and organize regular performances and concerts to showcase students' achievements Collaborate with other teachers and staff to incorporate music into cross-curricular projects Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes a love for music Engage with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on students' progress and achievements Requirements Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven experience teaching music in a primary or secondary school setting Sound knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for music Proficient in playing a musical instrument(s) and leading choirs and ensembles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents Creativity and enthusiasm to deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students Strong organizational and time management skills Valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) Salary Paid to scale on MPS/UPS Application To be considered for this Music Teacher position please forward a CV as soon as possible
