The Opportunity The Clinical and Quality Nurse Advisor works as part of the Clinical Governance, Quality and Education team reporting to the Director Clinical Governance, Quality and Education. The role provides high-level professional health advice as a registered nurse, expert clinical, quality and compliance advice and support across UPA programs and services. Within UPA Clinical Governance and Quality Frameworks, the Clinical and Quality Nurse Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring excellence in clinical care. By delivering advanced clinical expertise and leadership. The role upholds high standards of practice, drives continuous improvement, and reinforces UPA’s commitment to person-centred care. This role requires travel to all UPA services. What you will need: As the Clinical and Quality Nurse Advisor, you will: Provide expert clinical and quality support and be a resource for compliance-related activities. Support the monitoring of UPA’s Quality Management Framework and UPA’s Clinical Governance Framework. Coach and mentor staff members, contributing to enhancing clinical practices within UPA's aged care operations. Support the development and maintenance of evidence-based policy and procedure in line with UPA Strategic objectives and regulatory responsibilities. Engage in leading or participating in organisation-wide clinical projects aimed at improving consumer outcomes. Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes, promote consumer well-being, compliance and best practices in care delivery and consumer experience. About you You will be a dynamic and hands-on Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration with no limitations or banning orders in place. You will hold post-graduate qualifications in an aged or health care related field. You will have broad clinical, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as experience in the aged care sector, having worked at a Senior level in the aged care industry for a minimum of 5 years post graduate. You will have a strong ability to utilise your clinical leadership skills to triangulate clinical quality data to effect quality improvements. You will have a deep understanding and application of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, new Aged Care Act and associated Aged Care Rules, compliance and quality management across the aged care sector.
