Our team specialises in self-employment registration, VAT returns, and tax affairs, with a strong focus on delivering excellent client service and compliance with HMRC requirements.
The Role
We are seeking a full-time Accountancy Support Officer to work directly under our accountant. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day client accountancy needs, ensuring accuracy in compliance, and providing excellent support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing self-employment registrations with HMRC.
* Compiling reports and maintaining accurate financial records.
* Preparing VAT returns for accountant review.
* Providing telephone and email support to clients regarding accountancy matters.
* Liaising with clients and HMRC where required.
* Supporting the accountant with ad hoc tasks as the business grows.
About You:
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Confident communicator, especially on the phone.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* Previous experience in accountancy, bookkeeping, or administration is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
* Competent IT skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
