Year 4 Teaching Assistant- Standish
Milk Education are working with a primary school in Standish (WN6) who are seeking a full-time Year 4 Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 4 who has Autism.
This Year 4 Teaching Assistant role is starting immediately and will be a temporary, long-term role until July 2026.
The school are looking for someone with good behaviour management and who is also patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child’s learning needs for this Year 4 Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.
This Year 4 Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the child’s needs are being met. In this Year 4 Teaching Assistant role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.
Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:
1. Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
2. Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
3. Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
4. Deliver catch-up sessions
Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:
5. Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
6. Must have a passion for education
7. Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
8. Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
9. Must be reliable and punctual
