Role Overview
The Production Network Engineering team is a new mission aligned operating model within the newly formed Network Product Design & Engineering domain. They are responsible for designing, building, and running the underlying strategic network infrastructure platforms and the over‑the‑top connectivity products and services that enable colleagues, guests, and partners.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
 * Extensive experience as an individual contributor and leader of teams that design, build and operate network products across all 7 layers of the OSI stack from physical through to virtual. Specialist understanding of Layer 1‑4 Protocols (e.g., G.9802.1/WDM, Ethernet, VXLAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS, Access Transport for example PON, xDSL, DOCSIS, FWA, wireless standards such as Wi‑Fi, LTE, 5G, MEF Standards such as CE.3.0, LSO, Overlay IP/VPN technologies, etc.)
 * Experience of virtual infrastructure ecosystems (OpenStack, Kubernetes, QEMU, KVM, HCI across Cloud Platforms) and uCPE Platforms, including open networking technologies (FRR, Bird, GoBGP, ONF stack, Linux networking, etc.).
 * Experience in network programming/automation, IaC, configuration management tools and data modelling (RESTCONF, NETCONF/YANG, Python, Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
 * Experience working in network and infrastructure operational product engineering, knowledge of classical network element management, SDN Controllers and ETSI MANO; understanding of application‑layer network protocols and network access control.
 * Skilled in lifecycle management of network products and services, including requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, service design & development, testing and deployment at scale, and proficiency in Agile methodologies.

Compensation
£140,000.00 – £160,000.00
