Job Title: Transport Scheduler

Compass Point Recruitment is partnering with one of the UK's leading independently owned logistics companies in search of a Transport Scheduler. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking someone with experience in planning deliveries, scheduling vehicles, and providing daily support to drivers.
You will be part of a dynamic operations team responsible for planning a fleet of over 100 company-owned vehicles operating across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan collections and deliveries, ensuring adherence to schedules and optimal vehicle/driver utilisation
Schedule vehicles for servicing and MOTs in line with company requirements
Monitor driver progress to ensure timely deliveries and collections
Provide support to drivers on the road and liaise with customers when necessary
Ensure compliance with all road transport legislation and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and managers
Support administrative tasks including order entry and data input
Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in traffic planning, transport scheduling, or fleet handling
Background in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
Strong geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe highly advantageous
CPC qualification would be an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate
